The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) and the
Asociación de Magistradas y Juezas de Panamá ( AMAJUP) are pleased to announce the
9th IAWJ Biennial International Conference in Panama City, Panama to
be held on March 25-28, 2008!
This year's theme, Equal Justice for All, is not only part of the
IAWJ's motto but also one of our core missions. Specific sessions
will build on our recent biennial conference and look at issues of
access, discrimination, violence, and corruption.
As always, women from all over the world will be attending, and the
Conference promises to be yet another exciting, stimulating and
informative IAWJ event. Our social program will hopefully enable delegates to
enjoy some of the unique aspects of this beautiful city at a wonderful
time of year.
The conference will be held in the Hotel Miramar
Intercontinental, located in downtown Panama City, overlooking the Bay of Panama. Panama is a place of natural
beauty with splendid beaches on both the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean.
Known for being home to the famous Panama Canal, Panama is also a country
with a rich history and a mixture of Spanish, Indian, Caribbean, and
Anglo-Saxon cultures.
We look forward to an enriching and exciting conference in Panama and
hope to see you there!
