A Message from: Joan D. Winship, IAWJ Executive Director
On behalf of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), I want to thank you for your interest in the IAWJ. Over the years, the IAWJ has provided its members with the opportunity to work with colleagues through international conferences and our highly regarded newsletter, and to organize and strengthen women judges associations throughout the world. Through pioneering judicial education programs, the IAWJ is educating female and male judges on how to apply international, regional and national human rights law to domestic cases involving issues of discrimination and violence against women. These programs provide members with the resources, information and training they need to exercise leadership so that they may effectively address the critical legal and judicial problems that impede the acquisition of true equality for all peoples. I am happy to invite you to become a member of the International Association of Women Judges.
