The Association of Women Judges of Argentina Conducts Seminar on Human Rights and Femicide

The Association of Women Judges of Argentina (AMJA), together with the Superior Judicial Court of La Rioja, conducted a Seminar on Human Rights and Femicide.

One of the main goals of the seminar was to promote and protect women’s rights and address femicide. Among participants were judges and other judicial officers, lawyers, prosecutors and law enforcement officers.

Another objective of the seminar was to “share experiences and developments regarding how the process of recognizing women’s human rights and femicide are linked … and how [femicide] impacts the persistent inequality of men and women,” said expert and seminar facilitator, Dr. Fernando Ramírez.
